Following the approval of the Lisk Season Strategy and Season 1 plan by Lisk Governance, Lisk DAO Season 1 officially kicks off, running until June 11th—in alignment with Optimism’s Season 7.
Season 1 is centered around the theme “A Foundation for Real-World Acceleration”, laying the groundwork for long-term growth through structured incentives and transparent governance. The focus? Supporting founders, driving network participation, and expanding Lisk’s impact across high-growth markets.
Lisk DAO Season 1: Key Intents
Inspired by the Optimism Collective’s approach to drive meaningful progress, Season 1 is structured around five core intents, each with measurable outcomes:
- Make contributing to Lisk DAO engaging and rewarding – Increase governance participation, enhance funding transparency, and educate the community on L2 economics.
- Accelerate Lisk programs and builders – Provide funding and support for developers to create new tools and applications.
- Grow Lisk’s Total Value Locked (TVL) – Expand liquidity and network usage by increasing the adoption of non-LSK assets.
- Strengthen Lisk’s contribution to the Superchain – Increase cross-chain activity and grow revenue shared with the Optimism Collective.
- Provide insights for the LSK token burn vote – Publish mid-season and post-season reports to inform data-driven community decisions.
How Season 1 Operates
To ensure transparent and strategic execution, Season 1 is governed by two key councils:
- LiskDAO Grants Council – Allocates funding for Builder Grants (up to 75K LSK per project) and Ecosystem Incentives for live dApps.
- LiskDAO Steering Committee – Evaluates the impact of funded projects, ensures accountability, and publishes transparent reports for the community.
With a total budget of 3.65M LSK, over 95% of funds will be directly allocated to developers, dApps, and ecosystem initiatives. All funding will be securely managed through a multi-signature safe, ensuring community oversight and responsible allocation.
