Until now, Lisk has been built around accounts: shared dollar balances your team uses to get paid and to pay out. But many companies also hold crypto, from a token treasury to tokens earned along the way. That usually sits in a separate wallet, with separate rules, out of sight of the finance team.

Portfolios bring it into your Lisk workspace, under the same controls.

A Main Portfolio in every workspace

Every workspace now has a Main Portfolio. It is a crypto wallet with its own deposit address, and it starts with the same approvers as your Main Account. The people who sign off on your cash sign off on your crypto too, from day one. After that, the two are managed separately: changing your Main Account’s approvers doesn’t change the portfolio’s.

15 tokens on Base

Your Main Portfolio can receive 15 tokens on Base:

cbBTC, AERO, VIRTUAL, ZORA, VVV, WELL, cbXRP, AVNT (Veranta), cbADA, KAITO, DIEM, cbMEGA, LMTS, cbDOGE and cbLTC.

Only these 15 tokens, sent on Base, show up in your portfolio. Any other token, or a supported token sent on another network, still reaches the address but won’t appear anywhere in Lisk. Always use the deposit flow inside Lisk to get the address, and check both the token and the network before you send. Only the Main Portfolio has a deposit address; other portfolios are funded by transfers from it.

Don’t send USDC to your portfolio address. USDC sent there isn’t credited and can’t be recovered. To add USDC, use your account’s deposit address, where it counts toward your dollar balance. The portfolio address is only for the 15 tokens above.

Live prices, in dollars

Each token shows its logo, its live price, and how it has moved over the last day, week and month. Transfers and withdrawals show both the token amount and its value in dollars, so whoever reviews a request can see what it is worth before they approve it.

Free to move, always approved

Portfolio transfers and withdrawals are free: Lisk pays the network fees.

Withdrawals are on Base only, and only go to your saved withdrawal addresses. Every transfer or withdrawal follows the portfolio’s approval rules. Approvers sign on their phones, in the Lisk mobile app, just as they do for accounts.

Transfers move crypto between portfolios. Moving crypto into an account, or buying and selling tokens, isn’t available yet.

Your rules, per portfolio

Portfolios follow the same control model as accounts. For each portfolio you choose its members, its approvers, and how many approvals a transaction needs. You can also pick an icon color, so your team can tell portfolios apart at a glance.

Cash and crypto, on one Home screen

Home now shows your recent portfolios next to your accounts, and the balance chart splits your total between the two. You can also start a portfolio transfer straight from Home.

Also new

The Lisk mobile app has been updated too, with redesigned transaction and approval screens and clearer portfolio charts. Get it from the App Store or Google Play.
